Binance's Margin Trading Delisting Process

Binance, the leading cryptocurrency exchange globally, has announced the delisting of four major trading pairs—DOGS/FDUSD, MOVE/FDUSD, MANTA/FDUSD, and PEOPLE/FDUSD—from its margin trading platform, Binance Margin. The final removal is scheduled for August 8, 2025, with preparatory measures already in motion to assist users in managing their positions effectively. The process began on August 5, 2025, with the suspension of isolated margin borrowing for these pairs, preventing traders from opening new leveraged positions through margin accounts.

User Action Required for Position Adjustment

To avoid involuntary liquidations, Binance has urged users to promptly adjust their existing leveraged trades before the final delisting date. On August 8, at 09:00 AM UTC, all open positions will be automatically closed, and pending orders for the affected pairs will be canceled. While these assets will be removed from margin trading, traders can still engage in transactions using other spot or margin pairs unaffected by the delisting. Traders must be vigilant in managing their leveraged positions to prevent any adverse outcomes.

Reasons Behind Delisting and Urgency for Traders

Although Binance has not disclosed specific reasons for the delisting, the exchange has emphasized the critical need for account management among users involved in the affected trading pairs. Restrictions on transfers to isolated margin accounts for these pairs have been implemented, allowing only manual transfers up to the existing loan amount. As excess collateral cannot be transferred, traders must act swiftly to reposition or close their leveraged trades to comply with the new guidelines. Analysts speculate that this move may reflect broader market or regulatory considerations, highlighting the importance of proactive position management to mitigate unwanted consequences.
