Record-Breaking Inflows

Cryptocurrency investment products saw a surge in inflows last week, marking gains for the 14th consecutive week. Global crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs) recorded a whopping $4.4 billion in inflows for the trading week that ended on Friday, as reported by CoinShares on Monday. This increase comes as Bitcoin (BTC) hit new highs, reaching over $122,000 on July 14 before settling at around $120,000 by the end of the week.

Ether ETPs Setting Records

Ether (ETH) ETPs set new records last week, with total inflows surpassing those of 2024, totaling $6.2 billion. Weekly inflows also doubled the previous record, reaching $2.12 billion, according to CoinShares’ head of research, James Butterfill. The surge in Ether prices, which saw the cryptocurrency surpass $3,500 for the first time since January, contributed to the increased inflows.

Bitcoin ETP Resilience

Despite a slight slowdown earlier in July, Bitcoin ETP inflows remained strong as BTC reached new all-time highs. Last week, Bitcoin funds recorded $2.2 billion in inflows, accounting for half of the total crypto ETP inflows. Other cryptocurrencies, such as Solana (SOL), XRP (XRP), and Sui (SUI), also saw notable inflows totaling $39 million, $36 million, and $9.3 million, respectively. This story is developing, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
